Shannon Garson recently returned from Europe travelling on a Churchill Fellowship studying decorative ceramic techniques and the history of ceramics in France, Italy and the UK. “Using everyday objects such as cups and bowls I strive to connect the visible world, gardens and plants with the intangible and the mysterious. The physical strength and utility of the tableware is extremely important, I see it as bringing art into everyday life, into cups of tea and plates of sandwiches, dinner parties and family breakfasts. Art to be discussed, eaten off, washed up and most importantly used.” .

and
utility...
