Louise Aaron was born in South Africa. She originally studied Graphic Design at the University of Cape Town and worked as a highly successful, graphic designer until her move some years ago to Sydney. Immigrating to Australia, moving from Sydney to her current base in Melbourne and the needs of small children, led to a career divergence after Louise took a course in silversmithing. Since then she has not looked back, her garden studio is the base for a range of quite unique, naïve and quirky jewellery. Tribal African jewellery has made a real mark on Aaron's designs, combined with an edgy, hand beaten look that ensures each piece's originality. Louise thrives on strong design and unpredictable forms. She has fun with hand stamped words and messages - ooh baby, scrumptious and truly madly. Links are mismatched, off beat , yet work perfectly.
