Bridget Bodenham is a young potter based in rural Victoria. Loving the feel and shape of old cooking utensils has resulted in works that are robust and raw and reflect an unapologetic love of throwing, moulding and creating from clay.
Working recently in the UK has clearly not diminished Elodie's sense of fun or style. She has doubled up her funky pendant designs with assymetrical loops and more hand made glass beads in a mouth watering array of colours.
Opening on Friday 3 April "Little Un's". Ceramic works by three Queensland Potters, Mel Robson, Kenji Uranishi and Shannon Garson. The brief for this group show was 'keep it small'and the artists were only too happy to oblige. On show until 24 April 2009.
"Life's a Cake Walk...far from it she thinks" by Julie Niekamp. These and more will be on show at Frankston Art Centre from 18 March - 26 April 2009. Smaller (similarly quirky) collaged works on paper will be available at Pomme.

Botanical Impressions range of silver rings and pendants on tourmaline beads. Hand pressed silver with impressions of leaves or flowers, inspired by folds of cloth they retain an organic, quite irregular feel.

We don't know where she's been but it looks like it involved a horse, Japan and autumn leaves. Wherever it was is back and we have her purses available to prove it.
